I am pleased to announce I’ll be running my sales management workshop Measure to Success:  Creating a Performance-Driven Sales Team in the Language Industry on 26th April in London.

This workshop is particularly designed for translation company owners and sales managers, but anyone in sales will benefit. This workshop in 2012, which was sponsored by the Associate of Translation Companies, was given one of the highest ratings of any ATC workshop by the participants.

The primary goal of the workshop is to help you hire, build and manage a performance-driven sales team that is in alignment with the way in which today’s customers buy our services.

We start by dispelling long-held myths about what makes a great sales person. We’ll learn how today’s market is demanding a different skill set that makes a sales person successful. We’ll investigate the reasons for this and identify qualities to look for and foster in sales people that will help ensure their success.

Then come the practicalities of setting measurable interim sales goals to encourage maximum performance from your sales team. You’ll come away with specific ideas in mind for motivating members of your own sales team.

We’ll then focus on management oversight of the sales pipeline and its impact on sales forecasting using industry-specific, real-time examples. You’ll have strategies in mind for troubleshooting problems, knowing when to walk away from opportunities and accurately forecasting revenue!
